Welcome to CARA

(Croyde Area Residents Association)

OUR MISSION:

"To stimulate public interest, to ensure that the villages of

the Georgeham Parish, and the surrounding

Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) are protected, preserved, and

improved for the benefit of the whole community for generations to come"

Welcome to the CARA website. CARA is an association for the residents of Georgeham Parish, with a mission to protect and preserve our beautiful surroundings, and the quality of life of those living in, and visiting the area.  Here you can find information about the aims and purpose of CARA, activities the committee and residents are involved in, documents pertaining to CARA activities, and details of meetings and social events.  You can also find out why and how to become a member of CARA, and share ideas on how to keep the villages in our parish great!

We aim to keep you informed of local activities and developments, and how we are working together to preserve the quality of life of all those living in, and visiting Georgeham and Croyde. Our blog includes updates about projects and events.

Open meetings are arranged throughout the year for residents to come along and share views on matters affecting the villages in the parish.  We also plan to host and support regular social events so we can join together as a community.  If you have a suggestion for a social event please do let us know via email

If you are a resident of Georgeham Parish you have the opportunity to become a member of CARA. If you are not a resident but still wish to be involved you can become a Friend of CARA. Annual subscription is £10. The benefits are outlined on the Membership page, and details of the activities funded by the subscription fee can be found here.

Thank you for visiting the CARA website. We'd love to hear your comments and any suggestions you have to make the website an even better experience.
