The Georgeham and Croyde caring Community Group was set up in March 2020,
just before the first Lockdown, to provide door-step support to people who needed it. The Group has continued to flourish and has helped with prescription collections,
shopping, dog-walking, meals for people, and the establishment of a food-box
delivery to help people who need extra support in these difficult times.
The support the Group has had, and continues to receive, has been awe-inspiring.
The Group has now become a sub-group under the umbrella of Croyde Area
Residents Association (CARA) which is proving to be a great source of help, advice,
and encouragement, and enables us to apply for various grants due to the charitable
status of CARA.
How to support the group and make donations
The Post Offices in Georgeham and Croyde
We have received huge support from the two local Post Offices. They continue
to provide a collection point for people who wish to donate items for the food boxes and they also each hold an account for the Group for people to donate money if they wish.
You can now also donate directly to CARA and reference the payment to the Caring Community Group.
