We’re really keen to arrange and support events that appeal to all generations. Some ideas in the pipeline currently include a barn dance, beer tasting event, Northern Soul and Motown night. We’d love to hear your ideas. Let us know what you’d like to see in your community.
Resuscitation and defibrillator training session: South Western Ambulance Service are holding another session on 9th November, 10:00am-11:30am. This is a FREE session available to all. Feedback from those that attended previous sessions has been super positive, with attendees really appreciating the opportunity to learn about how to help somebody who needs resuscitation and/or the defibrillator. Choir Meetup: At the open meeting in May John McDonald discussed the idea of creating an event based around an evening of song, and getting together a group of people to form a choir for the event. Following the first meeting on 2nd September there is now a weekly choir meet up - Mondays at 7:30pm at The Manor Inn Coach House. No previous experience is needed. Soul Intention came back on 7th September for their 3rd event in Croyde, hosted at Unison Croyde Bay Resort. Thanks to all who came along, to Soul Intention for another great night, and to Unison for free use of the venue.
The annual Ferret race took place on Tuesday 30th July in Croyde Village Hall. The event raised £1082 for local projects.Thanks to all that came along, placed bets, bought tombola tickets and food and drink, and sponsored the races. The proceeds from last years event paid for projects such as the defibrillator at the village hall.
Soul Intention were back in November for their second event in Croyde. Once again the dance floor was full and the reviews were fantastic: "Brilliant night! Haven’t danced so much in years...!", "Loved loved loved it. Come back soon", "Amazing talented soulful band..."

We had a night out to see Elvis (Barry Paul) at Croyde Bay Resort in June 2017. It was such fun we did it again in September!
In December 2017 CARA supported the Annual Xmas Fayre in collaboration with Blue Groove.
